He is BALLSY. He’ll get inside Isadora’s cage if I’m not watching and she’ll huff and get all angry marshmallow on him, full puff and hissing, and he’ll be ready to go toe to toe! She’s like 8 times his size! How do some of y’all have conures and other species?

Hilarity ensues daily in our house on this very subject. Our bravest bird is Violet, a little runt of an insanely tame budgie who just wants to be friends with everyone - bird or human. She desperately wants to befriend Ollie the cockatiel, but Ollie is terrified of her and flies off the minute she approaches.

On the other hand, Ollie is obsessed with being next to Jasper, the Dusky Pionus. Jasper is terrified of Ollie, to the point where when she flies, he literally ducks and covers. She constantly flies over to try to hang out with him on the big playstand, and he panics and bails every time. But....if Ollie's cage door is open and she's not inside, Japer's only mission in life is to get inside Ollie's cage. It's a constant madhouse.

I feel you. I have a raised mole on the front of my neck/throat, just high enough to not be covered by a standard shirt, and every single one of my birds has tried to remove it about 10000000 times.

Phoebe is offended by my face lady hairs and plucks them one by one which I'm all for! No lady wiskers is a good thing!

Y’all this bird is so weird.

He has started to prefer my partner to me, which I am a little bit bitter about, but it is what it is. However, I’m the only one who can give him scritches. He will go out of his way to follow my partner throughout the house, But if he lands on me, I can rub his head and neck. Partner can’t. Which makes absolutely no sense.

Nerd bird was my best buddy BUT there were certain things that he decided were only for sister Sandy and he to do. He knew when her days off were so he'd sit on top of his cage and watch her eat breakfast then she was to give him a treat and scritch him till he decided they were done.
I used to get the day off scritch report when I got home, then it was time for he and I to hang out and play the games that were just for us to do, he had a few
I am not allowed to scritch Dobby but occasionally he'll start to fluff when I offer or randomly land on me, he doesn't hate me, he just loves sister.

Not being my friend and being a traitor I can’t get near him anymore, he’s Jay’s bird now. I can’t even get a photo of him.

Oh no! I'm so sorry I know you'd said that he was liking Jay more but I didn't imagine he'd be that bad.

Find his high value treats and be the only one to give them to him, maybe that will help make him a bit more receptive of you again. Dobby knows I'm security and walnut provider. Sister is allowed to give him some too but the container we keep them in is beside my recliner so he knows I'm in charge of them. In the evening he hangs out with sister and gets scritches and nutriberries, then he'll come over and land on the back of my chair and wait till I dig a handful out. I usually just hold them up open handed, then he'll pick the one he wants and flies off to munch, then come get another till he's done.

Letting you know what you are missing, with that cocky side eye; I think you all can have a relationship when his crush fades a bit. My ex totally win over Ta-dah . And Ta-dah is willing to hang out with guests , just doesn't let them pet her ,tho she did with ex
