The breeder said the Rosey mutations used to be the most popular, but she's had SO many requests lately for normal. I can see why!

He's just the cutest bird I have ever had LOL
His little chirps are so sweet
He comes to life as soon as I come up for the night from working, while the other birds are settling down. Flitting and running around, chattering, eating, playing.
He has been test chewing on grapevine, paper rope, sola, and some dried plants I got from Bio Bird Blends. He really likes going through the grass mat to pick up seeds he dropped!
He's not as scared when I change his food and water; the last couple days I was able to get him to sit on my hand inside the cage for a few moments.
Eating lots of sprouts, some bird bread, some corn, and dry seed so far. I need to make some more chop and will probably make some super fine for him and see if he likes that better.
It's been interesting getting used to his different habits.

He's predominately a ground species and clearly prefers the ground. He can perch without issues though

30 days is the recommendation. Trying to use the time to bond with him a bit. The den is also smaller so I can see how he does flying and coming back to his cage without it being a giant area (my kitchen, dining room, and living room are connected, and my living room is 24 feet long by itself lol)
I take out his seed in the morning to give him some chop and he spends the first 30 minutes rummaging through the grass to find seeds he dropped before digging into the bowl
