30 days is the recommendation. Trying to use the time to bond with him a bit. The den is also smaller so I can see how he does flying and coming back to his cage without it being a giant area (my kitchen, dining room, and living room are connected, and my living room is 24 feet long by itself lol)

I take out his seed in the morning to give him some chop and he spends the first 30 minutes rummaging through the grass to find seeds he dropped before digging into the bowl

I bet this is so cute to watch

So true! Rosie Bourks like other Australian Grasskeets are ground foragers. My Grasskeets (Chipper & Pearl) like to ground foragers as well.

Milestone reached : standing in his food plate So far he's only eaten from the sides of the plate and I've had to push things to the sides to help him. I've even been looking for smaller plates or bowls! Today he finally decided to dive in

- running around on the floor

- tossing a pony bead bracelet around that the kids left laying around



- paper rope

- sola beads

- and this foraging toy he figured out yesterday!

30 day quarantine will be up the 18th. I will be out of town for a wedding, and then have some stuff going on that Monday, so will most likely see about getting him into the living room on the 21st I don't want to do it on a day where I can't be present and able to monitor, even if it will be through cage bars only right now

Well 27 days seemed just as good as 30. This will give them a chance to see each other through the cage bars for a bit before being able to be let out together.



So far they've been chattering back and forth a bit; Quibble is very excited. Bosco is being a little more reserved but very curious!

I'm so very excited that it's almost time for them to offically meet! At long last Bosco will finally have the friend I've always dreamed of for him.
