Love bonfire night. Was always a fave as a kid, even though the loud fireworks frightened me.

Fireworks scare me too I got hit by one as a kid lucky I had a big puffy coat on still burnt though tho to my clothes

Yea, they are terrifying. I only ever did them with my parents or went to see at organized events. And I have never lit one - too frightened!
We once had a roman candle fall over and shot off down our garden, one went over into my music teachers garden (he lived two doors down). And then there was the year my dad put petrol on the bonfire and set the garden fence on fire.

Spain is crazy, we dont really have any events where fireworks are set off, and most don't have gardens, so you end up with people just lighting fireworks and laying them on the ground and they shoot off down the street, it's insane! Our town prohibits them at new years to protect the wildlife and wellbeing of family pets.
