I had two cages like this, they're nice, but ultimately I prefer the square top ones because when I put perches up near the top in this cage, a part of it was somewhat partially inaccessible because of the weird cut out. I did like the locking mechanism on this cage though and sought after it for future cages (the one I have now has these locks on).I have and like this cage because of the feeder doors (but they only seem to have it one color on Amazon for some reason?)

I am not saying they are bad cages. The size is good. Just take your time to sit and think before buying any cage to be sure they are a nice big size, but also envision how you will put your perches and toys in and how it will look. Maybe make a doodle to plan how the cage will look and check if the cage shape allow it.thank you
This one is 28x18; the one I linked was 32x21. For a conure I would want that extra space without question
Thank you. That purplish pink color though...ick. Might seem silly, but I just can't lol. The price is doable though. I found it on Petco's website in other colors, but the available colors are more expensive, which is frustrating since Petco is listed as the seller on Amazon for the burgundy one. Sadly, the color that is more appealing and still affordable is out of stock at Petco. This one is 28x18; the one I linked was 32x21. For a conure I would want that extra space without question
Any suggestions for a flat top?For me feeder doors was more important than the loss of the sides; my other other bird has a dometop which I absolutely hate so I probably appreciate most of the roof and sides being flat by comparison It's worked out really well for me Linnie so far!
Yes the color is awful. Petco does have the 32x21; there's where I got mine. Wayfair has them too.Thank you. That purplish pink color though...ick. Might seem silly, but I just can't lol. A&E, Prevue, and King's all make cages with flat tops. So you'll have to decide what features are important to you. Feeder doors was my need, so I ignored anything that didn't have them.Any suggestions for a flat top?
Cool. Yes, I agree about the feeder doors. Maybe Petco will get a better color in stock soon.Yes the color is awful. Petco does have the 32x21; there's where I got mine. Wayfair has them too.

Can you sign up to be notified when it comes back in stock?Maybe Petco will get a better color in stock soon.
If you are upgrading her current cage, then I would wait until that colour of cage you like is back in stock. Don't settle for another cage or colour. She will be ok in whatever cage she has now until you sort the new upgrade out for hersomething new
I like the idea of the feeder doors as it will be easier to tend to food and such when I can't let Ari out of her cage. She is very good at flying out if I open the door. She's so sneaky, which is one of the things I love about her.Can you sign up to be notified when it comes back in stock?
I agree with Shawna about the feeder doors, they were nice and secure. I have had cages with guillotine feeder doors before and they are not secure at all, I had to clip them shut which was a pain.
I was lucky to find square topped cages with the nice front door lock and secure feeder doors. (mine is a stack and I am in the EU so it's not helpful to link mine).
I think that for any hen, fearful bird or more standoffish birds, feeder doors are a must.

Powder coating covers metals that aren't safe for birds. Being exposed to those metals puts your bird at risk for heavy metal poisoning
