Hi
We have a 15 yo WBC who we adopted when he was 3. When Covid hit, we worked from home and since then he has been so needy. I still mostly WFH and try to have him in with me for much of the day, but in general if at any time we leave his line of sight he starts calling and shrieking. We’ve tried using the phrase “I’m coming back” eg nipping to the loo and it doesn’t help. We have tried walking out the room and shutting the door when he does it and praising him when he sometimes does not, but it doesn’t work. He has an implant for hormonal behaviour but it doesn’t work as well anymore. We love him dearly, but we are at our wits end. Even if I am 2 floors up working and I make a noise he starts shouting even though his cage is on the ground floor.
can anyone offer some solid advice?
thanks so much x
