Cutest Bird Ever!!!
@Dusanbe - I am curious how the deciding is going?
I wanted to add, if you are leaning towards the pionus but still thinking about the cockatiel, you could maybe add a cockatiel if you still feel that way in the future. Just because they are smaller, doesn't mean they need to be brought home first.
I know many great birds owners here on the board who brought home a larger bird, and later went on to bring home someone smaller (conures, budgies etc).
There are also many wonderful bird owners who have just one bird that is not a budgie, cockatiel, conure.

Given the dust I get from my birds, I honestly don't know how cockatiel and cockatoo owners do it. I picture them all spending the day with a hoover in one hand and a duster in the otherCockatiels are known, along with all the cockatoos & greys, to be the dustiest birds, even compared to other ‘old world’ (for lack of a better term) birds.
I’m not knocking tiels, which I greatly admire, but we should be honest. I have dusty birds too, though not as dusty as tiels.
