Hey guys,

Am in need of some advice. Got my boy when he was 4 months old. Took him to the vet after and he said he's a little underweight at 294grams.

Fast forward to 7 months and I thought he was doing well. We got him up to 317 grams. Anyways I weighed him the other day and he's dropped back down to 300. I still have him on formula once a day and he has veggies, fruit, sprouted seed and some chia/hemp/sunflower seeds available to him all the time. I've booked in to see an avian vet next week. I'm guessing this isn't normal?

Kneel bone doesnt feel overly sharp but is yet still pronounced. He is a soloman island ecckie so we're pretty sure so he is a smaller species.

Am I able to get any advice? When we took him into the vet 3 months ago he tested negative for PBFD, chlamydia and Faecal swab came back normal. He's a pretty active boy and loves playing with his toys and he eats. Is there any advice anyone can give? Thank you

Welcome! Is he by any chance beginning to fledge (fly)? If so, it is normal to drop some weight.
