I’ve never seen lion bars, but I have seen jammy Dodgers and they’re delicious

We're going to lose one of the smaller dragons I think.

Well, not "we" - Me, I guess. Since I'm the one trying to keep them all alive (it's been a helluva day already and it's not even 1pm). I'm upset, so this might get vent-y.

This little one, Vern ("know what I mean Vern?" for us oldies), does not recognize food. Any food. Crickets, super worms, meal worms, dubia, greens, other veg. I cannot get him to eat. I've managed to syringe some insectivore care slurry into him but he's still losing weight. Which I guess means he's a definite positive on the ADV. The test swabs won't be here until Wednesday, so I don't know for sure about anyone else. And while I can't say I'm 100% certain for him, it would make sense.

I'm just frustrated because I'm.doing all I can manage, and he's still declining. I can't get a rescue to take him because they're all still full from the rest and obviously they don't want another sick one. I can't get him to the vet until Thursday, because funds and availability, so I'm pushing him to hold out until then.

While taking these dragons in meant I got a bird I wanted, it's kind of bittersweet because I didn't consider the facts 1) I'm still the only one doing stuff for them (cleaning, food, water, etc), and 2) Being the only caretaker means it's on me if they die. And damn my optimism, I really never considered any of them might die.

I need a hug :sad4:

Aw I'm so sorry That's really rough on all accounts. If your partner wanted them he could at least help you a little with them.
Hopefully this will guy can hold on and can survive.

It's not on you if they die. They would have definitely died without help, and you're the one giving them a chance. You're doing your best for them, and even if this one doesn't make it, at least he's in a clean, comfortable place with someone who cares about him.
But even still, I know it's tough. Sending lots of virtual hugs! :hug8:

That’s crap he wanted that many and isn’t helping you have you tried talking to him sometimes maybe he thinks you’re happy doing it and doesn’t feel he should interfere? Maybe

I hope fingers crossed poor little one survives but if he doesn’t it’s not on you you tried more than some would he’s got a clean healthy safe place to be comfortable in you can’t save them all sometimes no matter how hard you try

Oh what tim tams do you have? I do not like the originals but the salted caramel and some of the other special flavours are wonderful!

I find it funny that so many from the US are interested in our normal every day treats/foods but here I sit completely fascinated and often gobsmacked by your normal everyday things like dough for cinnamon buns or other things in cans :shocking:, spray or canned cheese:hmmm:, cornbread and so many other foods lol
Hey Shez! I finally went to the candy store again and here's what they had. I snagged the orginal chocolate ones. Have never had them but have wanted too for years so can't wait to break into them.

The Chewy Caramel or the Classic Dark are what I would get out of them three choices. I don't like the original ones so I would pass them up if that is all there was. Hope you enjoy them!

I'll definitely be curious to see what I think of them. I already had my chocolate treat for today because for the first time ever they had Maltesers! I've always wanted to try them and oh man they were life changing lol! I normally have better self control but I absolutely devoured that package in 5 mins. Wowza that's great candy!

I am still amazed we have some yummy foods that you don't have as normal items in your supermarkets cos you guys honestly seem to have literally everything, I end nearly every movie I see with a google session finding out what the foods are that I saw in the movie lol, our food differences really fascinate me- Maltesers are called chocolates here cos candy is hard sugar lollies. Hope you enjoyed them!

It really is fun to see the difference for sure. I'm so lucky to have 2 different stories to get these yummy treats from other countries and so far they have all been hits for me. I've yet to have something that I haven't at least liked if not full on enjoyed like the Maltesers I was so pleasantly suprised.
