I’d debated making a whole new post for the dragons but this is already here and I already has pictures in it so we’ll just keep it here.

So what’s going on with these, Is that a breeder that’s semi local to where I am Ended up getting into drugs and abandoning her entire project. There were well over 200 animals that ended up having to go through different rescues. Which is how I ended up with some, because the reptile rescues that are local to the area all filled up with all of these. The big problem that we’re running into now is that the entire collection has a reptile disease called ADV, which can result in death in the worst-case scenario, and be asymptomatic in the best case scenario. These particular six have not been tested for it just yet, so I’m actually keeping them in extremely plain boring tubs on just packing paper in order to monitor the situation. The test swabs arrive in another week. Until then I need as much clear space as I can get to monitor food and water intake, and watch for physical symptoms like diarrhea. Unfortunately, that means lack of stuff in the tubs :(

No, I did not know about the illness before I agreed to take these in. I only found out about it because I reached out to the rescue to advise them that I had taken six of the lizards so that way they had my information in case anybody was looking to adopt. Now that I know that they have this disease, adopting them out is not an option Unless somebody’s willing to take on a special needs animal.

thankfully, I know of two people who are willing to take in one dragon, each in order to give them a home and take some of the burden off of my house. Again, I didn't want 6  I initially offered to take 2 or 3. My partner said we should take 6(!) and now here we are.

I won’t lie, I’m venting a little bit, because having these six bearded dragons is going to be my responsibility as opposed to the one who wanted them. I’m not generally a huge fan of bearded dragons to begin with, they’re pretty OK, but they’re not my favorite. I may or may not be a little salty still about the fact that we can take in six lizards but I can’t have one more bird :mad2::angry::madwife:

Whatever. It's fine. I guess. (*grumble grumble*)

eventually, yes, but right now due to some circumstances that I’m still working on I need to be able to see every piece of the enclosure that they might go to the bathroom in.
Ya, I know you mentioned it's a hospital set up ..but I was hoping maybe a little something.

You could attach a plastic fish plant to the side ,or use those background fish/reptile scapes scenery they sell that are plastic to one wall/ part of one wall. It can lower stress. We found it helped our patients to have something

It always wiped off so easy for us ! Possibly even attach to the outside of the tub? I'm beyond limited on this tho fascinated! Our herps would always chose to be near it.

I love the pictures . I hope they are healthy

at this point everything is kind of coming in stages since there are way more of them than I initially thought there would be. They’ve all got the heat and UVB set ups, and right now they’ve got towels separating the tubs so they can’t see each other. I’ve got on order some wallpaper type stuff that’s basically a giant sticker. It’s flat and is just a decorative thing where you peel off the back and then stick it to whatever you need.

The dubia I ordered is delayed because of weather where they’re shipping from, but I’ve got the set up for that tub as well as a super worm tub. No crickets, I hate those things. They smell and they escape every freaking time I try it.

hopefully the whole hospital set up won’t last incredibly long. So far nobody has had diarrhea, nobody’s any more lethargic than a bearded dragon normally is, everybody seems OK so I’m hoping that they’re all a symptomatic and I don’t have to worry too much about it.

I've almost set the house on fire multiple times. I didn't use them for the chameleons at first since I only had one but at this number now it just makes more sense to use them as a feeder. Sometimes just blowing up the house to stop the chirping sounds great when theres an escapee:banghead:

I've taken to getting half inch usually they are all eaten before they become adults or die when they escape before becoming adults now haha

We do have extra dubia & a lot of red runners if you are willing to deal with those fast things.
