My daughters female budgie Chiquita came with a male when we first got her and she also had a coconut shell in her cage. The male passed and she was alone for about 6 months. We decided to get another friend for her and bought "Goober" she has bonded with him so well and they talk all day and feed each other and kiss and my daughter has seen Goober mate with Chiquita. Now comes the egg... but not in the coconut shell or this other nest like box in their cage but in my daughters marker drawer. It's like a fabric organizer drawer with these holes instead of knows. Chiquita is an avid flier, Goober not so much. Goober hits walls ans gets stuck places. So I think Chuquita chose this spot to be away from Goober. Anywho it started as one egg now there's 2. I'd love for her to be a mama. I really think I need to move the eggs but if I wore gloves and moved them would she abandon them? I just don't think it's safe for the babies to be in that dresser drawer. She's pecked away a lot of the fabric and I'm sure there's chemicals in that.

I ordered baby bird formula just in case and I bought a lot of snacks and goodies for her. Going to try to get her D3.

There is always that possibility, but it truly depends on the bird. Please know that your moving the eggs can damage the embryos in and of itself.

Move the eggs before she incubates further, just incase you damage them or she abandons, that way there's no life inside if that happens.
You don't need to wear gloves, just thoroghly wash and dry hands first.

If you really want her to breed, then she should have a nest box to keep her eggs in (lined with aspen or coarse pine shavings). A coconut is a bad nest.
