Hi everyone! I have a question in regards to diy’ing and the usage of bird-safe products for it. A while back I received a bird playground that was previously used for conures. I washed it using a brush and baby shampoo (all I had on hand) but this twine like tape is becoming a bit loose. Does anyone have any advice on 1) pet friendly cleansers for their toys/perches made of fabric, and 2) a safe glue or something for replacing the twine at some point.

thanks!

I would disinfect with a veterinary grade products like F10. For routine cleaning, white vinegar or a bit of water and dish soap is all that's needed.

As for the twine, I've used a bit of vet wrap/tape on the ends of the rope to keep it in place. That way I can avoid any glues.

Thanks! I hadn’t heard of vet tape before but that might be a good replacement without twine at all, since i’m only really looking to replace two spots at this tike!

You can learn to wrap the poles with rope without using anything but itself to keep it in place, it is not that hard to do.
