Hey there all,
It’s been a crazy year in our household so it’s been a bit since I updated everyone on the flock. Hobgoblin aka Hobs (gcc) and Bogart aka Bo (cockatiel) are both doing great and have become great company for each other. They enjoy hanging out in close proximity pretending the other is non-existent until one ventures too far for the other’s liking and the calling begins in earnest until they return.
Well… we had a new flock member join today! Pukwudgie aka Puk is our beautiful new 1 year old Barrraband’s parakeet. We believe Puk to be a female as there is no real yellow on their head to speak of. Though, in researching some have said this develops as late as 18 months so who knows. She is currently staying in a smaller cage away from the other birds until we know she’s not got any germs. Her big fancy new flight cage got a little delayed in shipping due to the holidays but should be here in the next couple days. So far she is curious, chatty, and is accepting treats through the bars from our fingers.
Would love to know any experiences you all may have had with this type of parrot!
