I had gotten an Indian Ringneck by accident. I have almost had him for a year. The vet told me it was a girl and then about 6 months ago he started getting a darker ring so then I thought it was a boy. Just wondering how long does it take for the ring to fully grow in so I would definitely know. 1000010402.jpg

For wild IRNs it usually takes 18 to 24 months.

Such a cutie!

From pictures I've seen, female blue ringnecks will have a faint ring and do have a little bit of a dark eye bar. But I've only seen males have the black "mustache" and ring - so if your little one has black feathers under his beak I'd think he's a he! :)
