100% agree! I have a protected spot in the sun out my bathroom window, a pair naps in their sides and plays there nearly every afternoon

I have been feeding a flock for h years but it is getting smaller and smaller every year.

People are generally unaware of the huge decline in bird species numbers ...

I use to have a flock , now it's just 2 .... hopefully they are successful with chicks this year

I have nest boxes for cavity nesters . It makes a huge difference.

And pollinators garden so babies birds have bugs to eat

I always hope talking wild birds here , will find friendly ears, and inspire more help

They are one of my absolute favorites! We get a lot here, and it always makes me happy to hear them calling in the trees.
For some reason though, it seems there are superstitions that they bring bad luck. I remember my grandmother was always afraid of them (she was an extremely superstitious person). It's so unfortunate, because they really are beautiful birds.
