I was wondering if there is a rescue in the United States that would like a donated transport cage. I couldn't find a donation thread, so if this is in the wrong place, please move it? :)

The cage has been used once, but was thoroughly cleaned, sterilized and has been living in a box in the garage for the past two years. It would work well for any medium to large parrot with a short tail (sorry macaws!) and you can see more info for it here: https://www.amazon.com/White-Travel-Bird-Small-Parrot/dp/B016LEJAO0/

My pictures:

I'm willing to send it free of charge to amy recommended rescue FCFS, preference for southern California. I've reached out to a couple of places but so far no takers, so I was hoping someone who is involved with a rescue might be interested. The bowls are included but you would need to supply your own perch or put a towel in the bottom for transport.

I’ll wait to see if someone from S California speaks up. If not, I am now involved with Birds of a Feather rescue in New Mexico and am on their transportation team. I don't have a large transport cage so when the call comes I’ll either have to buy one or drive an hour and a half to the rescue to borrow one.
So if no one from California wants it, I could pay for shipping to NM.

Late to responding, so this particular cage has been claimed, but for anyone reading, I wanted to mention that rescues along the Gulf Coast can never have too many travel cages.

If the primary use for a travel cage is a quick trip for select individuals, you don't need a huge number to meet your needs.

On the other hand, if you're evacuating in advance of a hurricane, you need enough cages to transport everyone at once, and they need to be a proper cages, because they may end up being "home" for several days until it's safe to return. Can't exactly use a cardboard box or similar ultra-short-term solution in that scenario.

This is why part of my household "hard limit" for birds is based on how many travel cages I can fit in my car and still have room for two humans and a dog.

Since no one else has spoken up for it, I'm happy to send it to NM. :)
