Hey everyone! As the title suggests, I am currently looking for a hawkhead. I live in Canada, and considering the difficulty in finding a HH in general, I understand finding one in Canada is quite the challenge. So far, I have found Oisellerie PLB and Parrots Only Aviary. Oisellerie PLB does have a breeding pair, but they have not produced eggs in the past year or two. I have contacted Parrots Only Aviary, but I did not get a reply after I asked if they still bred HHs. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forum!

Based on the information in the Parrot Breeders Canada Facebook group, those are the only two potential sources in Canada.

I don't know how it works regarding crossing the border between US and Canada, but would finding a US breeder in one of the northern border states (if there is one) be a viable option?

It may be an option! The only real way for for a northern border state to be a viable option would be if the price was not overly inflated, and if the pickup was near the border in Maine. I think crossing the border shouldn't be too much of an issue, so long as everything is planned in advance.

You would also then need import papers, veterinarian testing and a certificate of health as well as a quarantine period.

Exactly, and I remember coming across your past posts on this topic - it does seem possible, but quite the process. I would like to keep this as the last option after thouroughly ensuring it's impossible to find one in Canada.
