Longer days, time change, and bedtime

Hi all, not sure if this is the right place to post this but haven’t found it elsewhere on this forum. I’m curious about how you all are dealing with the time change and end of daylight savings time, in regards to bedtime?

I usually always put my solo lovebird Lola to sleep at 8 pm on weekdays and 9 pm on weekends. With the longer days now, she’s just not tired at that time. I’ve been forcing her for the last 2 years to observe the consistent bedtime anyway, but I’m not sure that’s the right thing to do. Thoughts? I always aim to get minimum 10 hours of sleep, ideally 12-14.

Side note, Lola seems to be going through a BIG molt this spring. She’s 2 now, at least to my knowledge, and it seems like every time she moves, she shakes a feather loose. I’m sure it’s normal but damn, my house is a mess!! Not anymore keen on baths than usual, not any more aggression, regurgitation is a CONSTANT year round for her and her fave people, though we ignore it and try not to encourage it.

Thanks for reading and any comments, in advance!

I turn a full spectrum cage light on when I let C4 out of her cage in the morning and I turn it off at night when I return her to her cage so I don't think she realizes we had a time change.

That’s a brilliant work around!
