Amount of times I’ve seen parrotlets advertised as budgies even my work colleague said she had budgies they were parrotlets

I definitely think your right people don’t know half of time what they have

In the Philippines, I think the terms "budgie" and "lovebird" are used interchangeably.... so when someone ends up with two birds labeled as budgie and lovebird and they breed and have offspring.... they're wondering about the health of the offspring.... but the pair are the same species...


I don't think I've seen that though! A parrotlet being called a budgie!
