She had some poo stuck to her feathers around her vent, which is super weird for her. I started wiping it off and it feels... Rounded. And kinda firm.

She's also been really intense about shredding paper in the floor of her cage this morning.

Help me not freak out please.

She is eating healthy, gets activity, she is made to lay eggs.
You don't want to be making her nervous, by reading your nerves . Which is hard I so very much know! But you want her thinking conditions are great to lay me egg .

You can get her to stand in some warm water that goes up high enough to cover vent . It can help relax things and hydrate that tissue

*Please Note* - Her butt looks way more poppy than it actually is because in trying to clean it, I managed to mush some of it into the feathers It's NOT actually this bad. I just made a mess.

I can't see swelling, partly because of her fluffy pants.

It's hard not to be nervous. I had a snake who ended up egg bound and that experience was... Scarring, I guess. And seeing some instances in the clinic where things went super wrong, I'm just all nerves about it.

I understand.
Standing in the warm water is very helpful. It's what my vet had me do with my egg bound girl . They can actually " cloacal drink" or some weird bird stuff. It helps or prevent those tissues from drying out. Which helps prevent egg binding.

If she’s getting plenty of calcium and exercise I’d feel better about an egg.

messy big poops are pretty characteristic of being “with egg”.
You might leave her a pie pan filled with water for her.

Let us know how you get on fingers crossed she gets in and behaves I wouldn’t stress her though
I don’t know what time it is there could you ring vets and ask for advice

When I tell y'all she was both unimpressed with the soak, and unimpressed with me doing that to her I'm on her crap list now.

On the bright side, her bum is clean, and I can definitely feel that it's hard like something is in there. So I think I'm going to be having my first egg experience in the next few days.
