Fertile eggs

Hello! So I have a question, I have a beautiful conure named Buddy, when I adopted her I was told she was male and well after having her for over a year a half she laid eggs! My sister who is friends with the previous owners said they had no idea as she never laid eggs so they always thought she was male also when buddy came to me she was missing so many feather and her bedding smelled of cigs and had buds in it I think she wasn’t cared for very well! Anyways I have let her keep 2 of her eggs in hope maybe she would get board after 20 days and move on plus to stop her from laying more! But now I am feeling so bad as all day everyday she is laying on them, singing to them and kisses them! I would love to know and maybe it’s a long shot of any reliable places that sell fertile conure eggs? I saw a ton of scamming sites and I almost fell for one but thank goodness I followed my gut! So I found this amazing site and I’m hoping one of you amazing folks can help me! I love my bird so much and to see her be a mother would be amazing! Thank you

Hello Steph, Welcome to Avian Avenue,

Sorry, you won't get any fertile parrot eggs anywhere. It is just something that is not done. Transporting eggs damages them internally.

You will have to find out what the incubation time is for your species of conure, and then give her to boot from the eggs when time is up. Be ready with new toys, some good shreddables and foraging opportunities, move the perches around, if you can rotate the cage or move it even just a metre or so would also help.
