Cockatiel breeding question

Thank you for such a warm welcome!
I have paired cockatiels, the male Mr. Freckles is 2.5 years old, the female Jade just turned 2 years old. They have been mating for roughly 2 weeks now. They are both very healthy, active, fat and happy.
They have a nesting box and both have been inside getting things just the way they want it.
My question is: How long after they mate can I expect her first egg? She's spending more and more time in the nest, pacing , moving things around and I want to make sure she's progressing normally.
She's definitely carrying more weight. But she won't allow me to handle her, so I can't get her weight.
I'm just very nervous about my babies having babies.

She does eat fruits, veggies, seeds and egg food. She drinks tons of water too.

Thank you for any advice or insight!

It sounds like they might be serious about laying eggs. However, it's also entirely possible that they will go through the motions and not lay eggs. There really isn't a set timeline. Also, no guarantee that just because they have been mating, that the eggs will be fertile. If they are serious and conditions are right, it could be a couple weeks or it could be a couple of months.
