No. Perhaps they just thought they had a male. A lot of times people think their bird is a male and are surprised when their "boy" who is actually a girl, lays an egg.

Absolutely not. Were you told your 'tiel is male and now the 'tiel is laying eggs? If so, then the bird was incorrectly sexed.
Male Moclans lay eggs but that's sci-fi ("The Orville") :D

I REEEEAAAALLLLLY LIKE "The Orville" whereas I truly dislike the new Star Trek series...Discovery. Why don't you like "The Orville".

The Orville is supposed to be a comic version of startrek, i just fail to see the humor :(

Actually I think it started out as a parody/comical version and, although there are some humorous moments, most of it is not silly or funny. It's more like Star Trek than Discovery, IMHO.

I had that happen with my first Dusky Conure. Was told she was a boy...discovered that was wrong when she started laying eggs.

While male seahorses do "give birth" they do not supply the eggs. Then female deposits her eggs into the pouch of the male, where he fertilizes them and incubates. The eggs still originate from a female.

Cockatiel females are the only ones who can produce eggs as males lack the necessary organs.
