We adopted a 2 year old quaker named Simon. He seems to go into these "fits" where he acts absolutely psychotic. He does this weird screeching and what sounds like cursing, mumbling under his breath. He wont let ANYONE near him and bites everything that gets near him. He will do this for awhile, and then "come out of it". Then he says, "Give Kiss" and "Boogie Bird" and other things in such an angelic little voice.Does anyone else have simalar stories of what seems to be a post tramatic stress disorder, if not some kind of multiple personality disorder?!!:heart:

I am so sorry to read this...
Could you give us some more back ground on him...did you get him as a baby or older birds...do you know how many people have had him before you?
It sounds so sad but with a lot of tender care and doing things to help him trust you more, you might bring him out of this...Can you try to keep a journal about what is happening when he does this...morning time/evening time/foods you are giving him/where he is situated in your house hold/other people around when this happens....
All of these things could show a pattern that might start this episodes with him.
Having more inforamtion will give us a chance to help you also...
Please keep in touch with us:hug8:
