APOLOGIES if this is already posted! I've searched but keep getting lost trying to get the info I need.....

I'm trying to make birdie bread and not sure if I have what's needed to 'bind' so it actually bakes...I'm out of corn muffin mix.

I DO HAVE: flour, baking soda & powder, and a box of Jiffy pie crust mix.....as well as eggs, milk, I have Crisco baking sticks....

awould the pie crust mix work as a base\ binder?
I'm familiar with what to add, etc I'm just not sure if I have the necessary items or "binders" to ensure its bake -able and doesn't stay soggy mess!

I also have a sweet potato i would like to incorporate; it's raw (and organic) so I'm guessing maybe pre boil it before adding it to bread?

My super picky CaG like s the crunchy stuff, really can't get her to go near wet or soggy foods

ANY HELP GREATLY APPRECIATED THANKS!!☺☺☺☺☺☺

All you need for bird bread is flour, an egg, and liquid. You could mash the sweet potato and use that as your liquid portion. I would stay away from the Jiffy mix; you also don't need butter or fat, and don't even need baking soda or powder.

I would also skip anything jiffy mixes including corn bread mix. I see so many recipes that include it. Full of salt, sugar and bad fats.
