My parrot's eyes are half open and the bottom area looks swollen. She also has her mouth open and makes a squeaking noise, kind of like a dog toy ever so often. We have been to the vets (stated it was an avian vet) but I don't think it was. I have an appointment on Thursday to see an avian vet. Does anyone know what could be wrong with her?

I'm so sorry this urgent serious issue wasn't addressed with first vet . I do not know what is going on , I wish your bird didn't have to wait two days ... can you share the picture or a short video with new avian veterinarian and your concern this may be so urgent and afraid to wait 2 days. Could they work you in ?

thank you for responding, i live in a quiet area, and the avian vet I'm seeing isn't working until Thursday. I've been calling vets all day asking for an avian vet but all seem to be off or don't know what they are talking about. She seems to have perked up a bit in the past few hours and is eating and drinking fine. I'm just so worried about her.
