A post for Isadora and her shenanigans

She steps up beautifully about half the time, the other half the time she’s a nervous wreck. It’s been a little over a week that she’s been here now, and she’s chatting more every day Right now, her favorite treat seems to be dried pasta. She definitely likes crunchy things

She goes look very nervous almost steps off your hand to nothing glad she’s settling in a bit so clever birds must be so hard for her such a change

That made me think of "Do these pants make me look fat?" They do make her look adorable, though.

And I love her velociraptor voice! So cute! Our girls are both goffins, but they have completely different voices; Puffin is loud and clear while Luv Bug is raspy like Patty & Selma from The Simpsons.

I love it when she fluffs, she cracks me up

I can’t recall if I posted the video of her hollering for me in the morning - I’m on the opposite side of a door to a room that she’s in, at least 10-15ft from the door, and she’s SO LOUD She sounds like a dinosaur with her RAAAAAAAA but is also able to channel her inner seagull sometimes.

She’s grinding her beak right now and it’s so awful I posted a thread about how I know it means contentment and happiness but it’s a sound that makes my skin try to detach itself, and I didn’t ever think about how much louder it is with a bigger beak.

Y’all I might die. I’m going into full body shivers with this sound.

Tteok and Pudge both love to do it when they’re practically in my ear For me, it’s like when someone skreeks a fork across a glass plate or something like that. Sends my whole body nearly into convulsions.

Burt beak grinds nearly every night. I love hearing beak grinding but there is a particular way that Burt does it just once every now and then that does that styrofoam squeak or nails down the chalkboard thing to me. I don’t know what he does differently but every now and then it is a squeak more than a grinding sound and it’s awful.

Well! Today I found out she loves jazz. I had on The Ray Pack (Live at the Sands, my personal favorite), and then a playlist of female jazz singers (Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, etc) and she was having a grand time. She particularly loved me singing to her - hence no videos We were dancing all over to An Evening in Roma and Fly Me to the Moon… we’re having a good time.

Now she’s got paper straws and she is making the most mess.
