I'm confused...

I got my budgie 6 months ago she looked like this,

And now she looks like this

How old is she? Her iris ring is still small

But i have had her for 6 months. And I thought the iris ring was bigger when they are 6 months or older.
Here is a clip from a article, Budgies at a young age has full dark eyes, at about the age of 8 or 9 months you can start to see a ring white shape around their pupil (aka iris ring).
How old was she when I got her? How old is she now?
Oh, and I noticed she started molting in Feb. And she is still losing feathers and growing more in. She acts and looks fine but isn't that a long time for a molt?

Yeah. I guess what I really meant was what is the age most pet stores get their budgies. Then I will know a little more what the actual age she is!
And yes, she is so pretty!!

Could you not ask the shop? They might have a record of hatch dates? Or at least a good estimate?

Budgies can wean as early as 5-6 weeks. Which could put your baby as young as 8 months old.

Well, I've tried that and they just say they don't know. Therefore I don't get any more birds or supplies from them. Bad shop if they don't know the age of their birds.
