From past 3 days my 2.5 month old alexandrine baby parrot droppings have become yellowish and in like a grainy partical condition. It contains odour as well. But the birds behaviour and everything remains unchanged all activities are normal. Firstly i thought it is due to some reason and may go away but its been 3 days ... and it concerns me now. He is on hand feeding and declines to have food on its own. Does this kind of droppings means its ill or has disease?

Plz let me know guys what shluld be done..

Usually if droppings have a noticable odor right away, that's an indication of some sort of problem, like a bacterial infection. I've never seen droppings that looked like that before. I would definitely be consulting with a vet!

This is definitely an infection ( pretty sure) , yeast or bacteria .

Decline hand feeding? Or has yet to explore and try food on its own ?

It is so easy to develop crop or gi infection during hand feeding. Formula spoils fast , must be made fresh each time. Feeding stuff must be scrupulous clean . Temp of formula and temp of babies must be spot on . Tho this baby likely has feathers?

Any crop swelling or slow to empty ?

Any changes in weight?

Babies can go downhill fast , and seeing a vet promptly to determine issue and treatment saves lives.

You can try adding plain Greek yogurt, ( with acidophilus as one of the active cultures) to hand feeding formula. A tablespoon at each feeding. Make sure no artificial sweetener! It is possible this will help balance flora if it's a minor imbalance. It won't hurt. It might not help. I think it will help a little, but more than likely the correct treatment for the infection will be needed.

I don't raise babies. I have assisted with many sick ones , under a veterinarian care and with appropriate medication needed. I highly recommend finding an avian veterinarian.

Hey there thanks for your opinion and time.. i would like to inform you that there has been no change in the weight nor his activities nor swelling. Even i am confused about the condition caz basically apart from the droppings there's no other change or difference in him.
Though i will search a vet caz there aren't any vets around huh... caz of which i tried finding for solutions online... anyways is there any medicine that cld be helpful in it...

I personally don't have experience with apple cider vinegar, but other members here do. It's thought Apple cider vinegar helps with yeast overgrowth ( I think ) I defer to those who have used it.

Only veterinarian should diagnose and dispense medication. Many diseases share the same symptoms, so it's really difficult to know with out tests or fecal exam.

We can really only offer supportive ideas. The Greek yogurt can be supportive in helping balance minor gut flora issues. For my birds I've seen it help. Tho others may not see help . Depends what's going on , which we can't know. You could try it for a day a re evaluate, I have seen improvement after a day if it's going to help, I usually do it for a week with adult birds, or concurrently wihrn in antibiotics treatments. Others have tried pro biotics for birds, which I have as well, but saw better results with the Greek yogurt as my personal experience.

If you share your country, or general location, many members are helpful in finding nearby veterinarian. Many of us have to travel a few hours to our avian veterinarian. Hopefully as parrots becomes more common and valued family members veterinarian access will increase.
