Good Evening, I’ve been hand raising my baby green cheek conure, and they are getting very playful and starting to fly (we’re about 6 weeks old atp) my concern is my cage is about 6 feet from floor to ceiling and don’t want baby to fall, i’ve done lots of online research but can’t seem to come up with a good answer. Thank you in advance!

Hello,

Given his plumage, he can regulate his own body temperature and can live in a cage now.

my concern is my cage is about 6 feet from floor to ceiling and don’t want baby to fall
I am not sue exactly what you mean. If this is a floor cage and it is high up, you can take him out of the cage by hand when it's time to come out, and set up some ropes, boings, ladders etc for ease of entry exit throughout the day. Supervising closely is always a good idea when they are so young while they are learning.
If you mean the cage itself is 6 foot tall, like an aviary, you could divide it up using cardboard to shorten the cage, and again set up boings and ladders to help get around inside.

Lining the inside of the cage with some non pilling fleece is a good idea for any falls that might occur. As well as a blanket or duvet around the cage.
