Me too. They're having an event coming up with loads of other free fliers going. If I was closer (in Wales) I would definitely go to watch.
Have you been to see them yet?
You're in England, right?

No I'm in USA. Can't free fly in my area, too many hawks & a gazillion huge trees. Not sure, but don't think there are many that free fly their parrots in the USA. I flew JaJaBinks (my avatar pic, passed in Aug. 2020) thru the house. It's amazing seeing them put the landing gear out, flare the tail, wings up, etc. when coming in for a landing. She would only fly when I tossed her. She usually walked. She wouldn't wear a harness, so I would clip her for summer, so she could go places & let her flighted for late winter. I'd fly her some inside & then clip her for summer again. When we'd bring them in for the day, from the aviary, I'd toss her & she could go a good 20 feet before landing. Then she'd walk the rest of the way to the house, cllimb the stairs & wait for me. I need to work on getting JaKhu flying & landing. She's so destructive I can't trust her to walk around. I have tried flying her some in the house, but need to work on it more. The little brat also refuses to wear a harness, so the only outside time she gets is carried in a crate to our aviary, as she's been fully flighted since I got her 3 years ago.

It's too bad they can't seem to comptehend they are meant to fly lol.
I don't know if Frankie had a fall before I got him, but he is terrified of falling, so flying is out of the question for him.
I hope you can get JaKhu flying.
I would love to see a video of it. :)
