I have recently picked up a pair of senegal parrots which are seemingly very healthy active and ok. But the male has its 2 front toe nails missing on both legs but his movements, perching etc looks very normal. The injury doesn't look fresh as it looks healed .
My question is, will this affect the mating of these birds? Many suggested me that nails most of the time doesn't play a role unless the entire fingers are lost. Many African greys are known to mate with no fingers at all.
Any one out there who has experience with this sorta nail. Issue with their birds???
