I gave her cage a good clean today, and took out some older toys and put new ones in for her.
She had been in the cage to eat this afternoon for a few minutes and was curiously looking around.
She came out after a few minutes and went into her play hut, then on hubby when he came in from work.
At 8pm, per our routine, he put her in for the night.
It's almost 10:30 pm and she is still calling out to me. She gets covered at night, but I swear she knows when I leave the room. She has been constantly calling me and at one point I went upstairs for a minute and she stated screaming for me.
Frankie, who usually has 15 minutes of playtime with me at night, must have sensed Dolly's unsettling behaviour and read my mind. No singing or playing tonight. I covered him as I talked softly to him, telling him I loved him and that he was a very good boy. He didn't make a fuss at all. This is a ritual we have had for 5 years every night, so he must sense Dolly's unrest tonight, and doesn't want to get her going, after having already told her 4 or 5 times to shut up lol.
She has been quiet for the past 10 minutes, so I will finish watching Law and Order, and hopefully by 11pm she should be settled down for the night. (fingers crossed).
Tomorrow I may have to rearrange her cage. I don't want to go through this again. My poor baby girl.
