Pictures Little Snake friend I found

My friend and I were walking after lunch and came across what we determined was most likely a Rough Green Snake. He was very docile and let us get close enough to take a nice close pic before he said he had snake things to do and gracefully and quickly climbed a tree and bid us farewell and we parted ways. I'm so pleased I love coming across wild snakes and he was a species I've never seen so that was thrilling.

He was so fun to watch as he quickly but smoothly went up the tree.

I love rough greens!! They're so vibrant. Apparently they're here in VA too but I've never seen one. They're so bright! And when they get sassy, it's so comical. It's like being threatened by a sentient shoelace

Haha a "sentiment shoelace" that's a fantastic way to describe a snake I love it!

I feel the same. I absolutely adore snakes and nothing makes me happier than to see one in the wild where they should be doing their own thing and keeping the rodent population down.
