Well I ordered a 25 pound bag of Safflower Gold last week and it showed up a couple of days ago. So I has to break it down into 6@ 4 pound lots, with a pound left over to start on right away. I needed a gal pitcher as I had been using a SS mixing bowl BUT it was a mess ready to happen. So I stopped by Walmart and all they had was a 1/2 gal one. After a bit I decided to but that and after washing it out I poured my ice tea in it and then scrubbed out the gal one I had used of tea. Likely for the best anyway as I always end up pouring out the last 1/4 from the big pitcher anyway.
So Team Green will eat "High on the Hog" for a few months with this. I can get it locally but I think it sit around forever here and it likely has a fast turn over at SBF...smelled fresh as could be. I like the Safflower Gold as there are no Sunflower seeds in it. I only offer a few a day mainly as treats or rewards when training. I do freeze it before storing it in a big airtight container, Bugs are a on going problem in Florida and Seed Moths are a royal PITA to get rid of. Likely none in the order I just got BUT it's cheap insurance to freeze it.

All bagged up.

I like the Safflower gold as well. I love the way it smells and our flock really like it.
