My cat spends most of his time in my bedroom. My sun conure (1 years old) lives in my bedroom (caged of course).
My cat’s litter box (clumping clay; no fragrance; 99.9% dust free) used to be in my bedroom, but the litter tracked in my bed despite the mats, so I moved it right outside my bedroom.
I have a few days (weekends) where I like to sleep with my door closed. The cat started peeing on my bath mat. Not good.
What litter is safe around birds? I see a plethora of options: pine, corn, clay, silica etc
My priorities is good odor control and safety for my bird.
I would also prefer if it didn’t track in my bed, but I can make a compromise if it means my room won’t smell like cat pee.
The urine smell is all gone thanks to an enzymatic urine cleaner. I have a HEPA purifier that runs 24/7. I clean my room often.
