Cage location

I should say first I live in a tinyhome.I had my bird right by the door because there's only 2 places he can go.im building him a bigger cage and was moving it away from door.its an area that's off the main room he was in and he wont be looking at us when he's looking out his cage like he is now..so when he's in his cage he will only have us walking by a few times to use bathroom.my place is real small and he will hear everything but I'm concerned if he'll adjust or not having us in view will make a huge diference?there's nowhere else to put him accept by the door where he's at.i felt its stressful by door too.any advice?

You could try it and see how it goes, but my birds don't like to be out of the main living area that we spend time in

I'd suggest trying to find a location where he can see you, even if it means giving up a piece of furniture. I had to get rid of all my large house plants, a table & a chair to fit my birds in. All 3 are in front of windows, but we close the drapes at night to prevent draft of any kind.
