Birds who love to fly

Hi everyone.

I have a cockatiel that loves to fly and be outside of her cage but recently I've been thinking of moving her into an aviary outside. The aviary will be in my backyard and due to limited space will probably be no longer than approximately 2m in width/depth/height. In my house we allow her to fly around freely as she pleases and she enjoys the extra space. I was wondering if it's ethical to keep her in an aviary as since it's outside she will no longer have the option to fly around inside the house and will be confined to that space.

I wouldn't keep her out there all the time. I know quite a few people have aviaries where they let their birds spend time in an outdoor aviary in nice weather for a few hours a day. But I wouldn't permanently move her to an outdoor aviary if that's what you mean. And some birds don't like it at all.
